Iran’s Response: Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi,
speaking in Istanbul on June 22, 2025, declared that Tehran is “weighing all options” for retaliation following U.S. strikes on its nuclear facilities at Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan.
He emphasized Iran’s right to a “legitimate response” and stated that diplomacy would only be considered after Iran executes its planned retaliation.
Iranian state media reported that most nuclear materials at Fordow were moved to secure locations before the U.S. bombing, with Mohammad Eslami, head of Iran’s atomic energy organization, claiming the facilities sustained “limited damage” and vowing to continue uranium enrichment.
Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, reportedly in a secure bunker, has not yet made a public statement, but Iranian officials reiterated that abandoning nuclear enrichment is a “red line.”
On X, posts reflect Iran’s defiance, with some users citing threats of missile strikes on U.S. bases in the region, though no specific retaliatory actions have been confirmed as of June 22, 2025.
