Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has publicly expressed his satisfaction following the United States’ strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities, calling them a fulfilled promise to prevent the Iranian regime from obtaining weapons of mass destruction.
Netanyahu disclosed details of a phone call with U.S. President Donald Trump following the strikes.
“Do you remember that at the beginning of the operation I promised that Iran’s nuclear facilities would be destroyed, one way or another? That promise has been fulfilled. Just moments ago, in full coordination between myself and President Trump, and in total alignment between the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and the U.S. military, the United States struck three of Iran’s nuclear centers. Through this action, the U.S. continued – with even greater force and momentum – the strikes previously launched by the IDF and Mossad against Iran’s nuclear program,” Netanyahu said, emphasizing the deep cooperation between the two countries.
The Israeli prime minister described Iran’s nuclear program as an existential threat to Israel and a danger to the entire world. He went on to reveal further details of the conversation with President Trump:
“Immediately after the operation concluded, President Trump called me. We had a very warm and emotional conversation. He congratulated me, our army, and our people. In return, I congratulated him, the American pilots, and the American people. President Trump is leading the free world with iron determination. He is a true friend of Israel – like no other before. On behalf of myself, the people of Israel, and the entire Jewish nation, I thank him from the bottom of my heart.”
Netanyahu’s statement reflects Israel’s approval of U.S. actions and highlights the strong alliance between the two nations as they confront regional threats together.
